Hello,
As a relational psychotherapist, I have seen first hand how connection and collaboration can enable positive change. I'm calm, attentive and thoughtful. I treat everyone with respect and offer them gentle honesty. That’s what I hope for from my clients too. It’s the most effective way to work, in my experience. It's also how I am.

My Story
My interest in Psychotherapy started a couple of decades ago, when I realised that I preferred hearing about real lives than fictional characters. I was particularly drawn to stories of overcoming adversity, especially those that revealed the inner strength and the outer support needed to do so. The mysteries of resilience, recovery from trauma, and the beauty of healing relationships still fascinate me now, and this is why I changed career to do the work I do.

Finding the right therapist can be hard. I am a relational integrative therapist… but what does this mean for you? It means that:
-
I believe our relationship and collaboration is the key to your healing.
-
I believe that you should decide what the goals of our work together should be.
-
I believe that you are the expert in your own experience and that no amount of psychological theory can replace that.
-
My job is to provide the right conditions for us to explore your experiences and difficulties together safely. I offer an additional perspective for you to consider – and for you to reject whenever I’m wrong!
-
I can offer a little psychoeducation along the way. But I can’t give advice, as I firmly believe in empowering you to find your own way.
If you think this sounds like it could be helpful, then you are likely to be right. Shall we find out? My email address is below if you'd like to get in touch, or you can book your first session here.

My FAQs page explains a bit more about working with me, including what happens on a free 15-minute discovery call and in our first session.
